 About Green Star rating program
Green Star was developed to be a comprehensive, national, voluntary environmental rating scheme that evaluates the environmental design and achievements of buildings. Green Star rating tools help the property industry to reduce the environmental impact of buildings, improve occupant health and productivity and achieve real cost savings, while showcasing innovation in sustainable building practices.
Green Star has built on existing systems and tools in overseas markets including the British BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) system and the North American LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) system.
