How to install a projector ceiling mount (Telehook projector ceiling pole)

The Telehook projector ceiling poleis a truly flexible mount. A telescopic pole securely supports your equipment and can be extended by up to half a metre from the ceiling. Cutting edge adjustment features enable you to easily change the position of the projector, giving you much greater versatility over the location of your display.

Installation is simple and easy, with internal cable management to complement your display with a professional finish, free from unsightly cables and wire clutter.

Before you begin installing your projector mount, first ensure the ceiling can support the total weight of the Projector and the Pole Mount.

When deciding on the best location for your projector, don’t worry about angled ceilings.  One of the most prominent features of this mount is its ability to compensate for a sloped ceiling.  You don’t need any additional fixtures to ensure the mount is in the correct position.  The fixing coupler allows the mounting plate to swivel to the required angle.

Installation begins by assembling the mounting plate and the fixing coupler. Then, depending on your type of ceiling structure, choose the appropriate installation procedure to attach the plate to the ceiling.

Next, install the ceiling hangers to the required height and fix them using the Allen key and hardware supplied.  Once this step is completed, feed the cables through the slot on the top of the ceiling hanger.

You can now attach the projector to the mounting plate.  Loosen the screws using the Allen key supplied until you can slide the extension brackets freely. We supply this product with extra long brackets just in case your projector has a wider mounting pattern.

Next, place the Mount Assembly over the Projector, place the Bottom Spacers in between the Extension Brackets and the Projector, and align the mounting holes.  If your mounting holes are recessed into the projector, you may need to use the additional Spacers supplied in the Bits Bag.

Once you’ve aligned the mounting holes, connect the shaft to the bottom ceiling hanger.  Then insert the locking hook into the slot and tighten using the screws supplied.  When the projector requires servicing, it’s quick and easy to remove it at any time using this simple disconnection point.

Now all you need to do is set your projector to the required position for viewing.  You can rotate it by a full 360 degrees, which allows you to locate your presentation anywhere in the room.  You can also adjust pitch and roll to make sure your display is level and in the optimum position for maximum picture quality.

Finally, if you’re looking to upgrade your projector you don’t need to buy a new mount.  The Projector ceiling pole has a universal mounting pattern, which suits a broad range of displays.
