Installing Visidec Focus Wall mounts - The ultimate space-saving design

Visidec Focus Wall mounts offer the ultimate space-saving design.  Created to work in any room of the home, business or commercial environment, they support displays of up to 8kg, or 17 and a half pounds.

Brilliantly engineered using state of the art technology, these mounts provide an ergonomic and stylish working environment.  The polished aluminium arm and matt silver wall plate ensure these mounts are the height of sophisticated design.  Installation is quick and simple, with all hardware provided.

The Focus Wall Articulated Arm offers the user superior flexibility.  The three joints along the arm allow the screen to be effortlessly moved to the desired position and folded flat against the wall.  Even changing the height of the screen is a one person job due to our unique height adjustment feature.  This supports the weight of the monitor as you move it to the correct height for you.

To install the Wall Articulated Arm, first use a spirit level to position the wall plate straight.  Mark the hole positions on the wall and drill the holes.  Insert the appropriate hardware and firmly secure the wall plate using the screws supplied.

Next loosen the locking knob on the underside of the arm and slide the arm into the wall plate from the top.  Tighten the locking knob firmly to secure it in position.

Next, attach the arm to the monitor using the FlexiStar mechanism which is a unique mounting head that makes finding the right mount for your screen even easier. Most of today’s screens up to 24 inches come with two mounting hole patterns - either 75 by 75mm, that’s three by three inches, or the larger 100 by 100mm, that’s four by four inches.  The FlexiStar is compatible with both mounting hole patterns due to its extendable tabs.

All you need to attach the screen to the mounting head is a Phillips screw driver and an assistant to help you support the screen.

Now that your screen is attached to the arm, you may need to make some adjustments to suit your screen weight.  This is done using the Allen key supplied.  Make small adjustments to the tilt tension of your screen, as shown here, and for left and right movement, here.

Your screen is now ready to be set to the correct ergonomic position.  Key adjustments include focal length, vertical tilt and left to right movement.  All of these help to reduce screen glare and eye strain, as well as ensuring you maintain the safest work posture.  Portrait or landscape rotation also allow you to make better use of specialized software.

To give a clean and professional finish, free from wire clutter, the mount comes with an internal cable management system.  Use the cable covers which are cleverly integrated into the arm.

The installation is now complete and you’re ready to start working with your new Focus monitor arm.

The Focus Wall Direct is an alternative wall mount that’s low profile and highly space-saving.  This mount supports screens just a few inches from the wall, preserving valuable display space.  You still have the advantage of adjustment features to maximize screen impact - horizontal to vertical rotation, as well as tilt and pan.  These ensure the best viewing angle for your display.

Installing the Focus Wall Direct is very simple.  First, prepare the wall plate for installation.  Use the Allen Key supplied to remove the bottom screw and separate the wall plate from the mount.

Now attach the wall plate to the wall.  Before you do this, use a spirit level to ensure the Wall Plate is straight and mark the hole positions on the wall. Once you have drilled the holes, insert the appropriate hardware and firmly secure the wall plate in place using the screws supplied.

In order to attach your mount to the screen, use the FlexiStar mechanism to set up your mounting hole configuration.  Then with the supplied hardware, screw the mount to the rear of the screen.

To attach the mount to the wall plate, first locate the fixing point at the rear of the top half of the mount.  This fixes onto the tab on the wall plate.

Next push the lower half into position.  Finally insert the screw with the Allen key to secure the mount.

The Focus arm should now be adjusted to suit your screen weight.  Use the Allen key supplied to make small adjustments as shown here for tilt, and here for left and right movement.

You can now customize your screen position.  Despite being a direct wall mount, you still have a large range of movement available to change vertical tilt, landscape to portrait orientation and left to right positioning.  This flexibility of movement ensures the best viewing angle and optimum screen position for the user.
